Burj Khalifa Opening Hours: Time Slots and Last Entry
Updated October 27, 2026
Quick answer
The Burj Khalifa observation decks sell timed slots from the morning to late evening. The exact first and last slot change with the season, in Ramadan and on event days, so the reliable answer for your date is the booking calendar, which lists every slot still on sale. Your ticket is valid only for the slot you book, and a standard visit at the top takes about 1.5 hours.

Opening and closing time today
We do not print a single opening or closing time on this page, on purpose. At the Top publishes its hours on Emaar's own site, which we cannot read automatically, and the times copied onto resellers and travel blogs disagree with each other by several hours. What does not change is how entry works: you book a time slot, you enter during that slot, and the decks then stay open to you for your visit. To see today's hours, open any ticket's date picker: the first and last slots it offers are the hours the decks are selling for that day. The listings on this site show some fixed times you can plan around:
- Burj Club meal ticket — Slots between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm come with lunch, slots between 6:30 pm and 9:00 pm with dinner, as the listing states
- Desert safari combo — The listing asks you to be at the At the Top entrance for a slot between 8:00 am and 1:00 pm
- Dubai Fountain shows — As listed by the booking listings: 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm daily except Friday (1:30 pm and 2:00 pm on Friday), and every 30 minutes from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm
- Dubai Aquarium (combo ticket) — The combo listing gives Sunday to Wednesday 10:00 am to 10:00 pm and Thursday to Saturday 10:00 am to midnight, last admission one hour before closing
Last entry and how long you can stay
Your entry time is the slot printed on the ticket: the standard levels 124 and 125 ticket says it is valid only for the booked slot, and the Sky Views combo says the same for the tower while letting you visit Sky Views at any time that day. Once you are up, the listings give the time to plan for: about 1.5 hours for the standard ticket and for SKY level 148 (the SKY listing says attractions can be visited for up to 1.5 hours), and 2 hours for the Lounge on level 152. The last entry of the day is the last slot the calendar offers. Arrive early enough to walk through The Dubai Mall to the entrance before your slot; the walk from the metro and the security check both take time. Directions: how to get to Burj Khalifa.
Prime and non-prime hours
The day is split into non-prime and prime slots, and they are priced differently. The standard ticket is sold as non-peak (Dubai's tourism board shop names it "Silver, Non-Peak Hours"), and the Sky Views combo listing is valid for non-prime slots only. The prime slots sit around sunset, when the city turns from daylight to lights. Because sunset in Dubai moves by about an hour and a half through the year, so does the prime window: the table below gives sunset on the 15th of each month, computed for the tower's position, with the average daily high from climate normals. If you want sunset at the top, book a slot about 30 to 45 minutes before it. The listings for the standard and SKY tickets also suggest booking about 30 minutes before the fountain show you want to watch. Prices for each slot: Burj Khalifa ticket price.
Ramadan, Eid and New Year's Eve
Hours change on special dates, and only the booking calendar shows the slots actually on sale for them. In Ramadan, At the Top has run later hours in the past: in 2017 Khaleej Times reported opening hours extended to 11 am to 1 am for the month. The SKY level 148 listing says that during Ramadan food and drinks in the experience are not served until iftar, the evening meal at sunset, and a city tour listing warns that schedules are likely to change in the holy month. Fountain show times can also change in Ramadan and on event days. For Eid and New Year's Eve, when Downtown Dubai fills for the fireworks, check the calendar for your date before you plan the evening around the tower; see Burj Khalifa on New Year's Eve. One tour listing suggests the level 148 option between 15 December and 5 January to avoid queues.
Book a slot
Pick your level, open its page and choose a date: the calendar lists every slot still on sale with its price, so it answers both what time the decks open that day and what a sunset slot costs. Book the slot, keep the confirmation on your phone and arrive before the time shown. All ten tickets and tours on this site can be cancelled free up to 24 hours before. Compare them on the Burj Khalifa tickets page. This site may earn a commission on bookings at no extra cost to you.
Frequently asked questions
What time does the Burj Khalifa open and close?
The decks sell timed slots from the morning to late evening, but the first and last slot change with the season and on special dates. The booking calendar shows the slots for your date.
Is the Burj Khalifa open every day?
None of the ten listings on this site names a weekly closing day; the calendar shows which days have slots on sale. Hours can change in Ramadan, on Eid and on event nights such as New Year's Eve, so check the calendar for those dates.
How long can I stay at the top?
Plan on about 1.5 hours for levels 124 and 125 or for SKY level 148, as their listings state, and 2 hours for the Lounge on level 152.
What time should I go for sunset?
Book a slot about 30 to 45 minutes before sunset. On the 15th of the month sunset is about 17:49 in January, 19:10 in June and 17:52 in October. Sunset slots are prime time and cost more.
Is there a long wait at the top?
Reviews of the standard ticket mention queues for the lifts, especially going down. The SKY 148 and Lounge tickets include skip-the-line access, and there is a fast-track version of the standard ticket.
Can I see the Dubai Fountain from the deck?
Yes, the fountain is below the tower. As listed, evening shows run every 30 minutes from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm; the listings suggest a slot about 30 minutes before the show you want.
