Burj Khalifa Hotel: The Armani Hotel Inside the Tower

Is Burj Khalifa a hotel?

No: Burj Khalifa is a mixed-use tower, and the Armani Hotel Dubai is the one hotel inside it. Wikipedia lists the uses: the hotel on the lower floors, 900 private apartments on floors 20 to 108, corporate offices and suites on most of the floors above, the At.mosphere restaurant on level 122, and the observation decks on 124, 125, 148 and 152 to 154.

The hotel was the first of the Armani hotels. Wikipedia says it was due to open on 18 March 2010 and, after delays, opened to the public on 27 April 2010, a few months after the tower itself. In April 2010 the hotel and the observation deck were the only parts of the building open. Giorgio Armani designed the interiors of the hotel and of the Armani Residences, using his own Armani/Casa furniture.

Which floors does the Armani Hotel occupy?

The hotel sits in the lower part of the tower, below floor 40. Sources describe the exact floors differently:

• Wikipedia (Burj Khalifa) says the 304-room Armani Hotel occupies 15 of the lower 39 floors.
• Wikipedia (Armani) says the hotel occupies the lower 39 floors and has 160 guest rooms and suites plus 144 residences. Together that is the 304 above.
• The MICHELIN Guide puts most of the 160 rooms on the tower’s lower floors, with the Signature Suites and the Armani Suite on floors 38 and 39.

So the highest a hotel guest sleeps is floor 39. That is a long way below the decks: level 124 is at 452 m and the top lounge at 585 m. The 144 Armani Residences are private homes. Wikipedia reports that in 2009 they sold for US$3,500 per square foot.

How much is a room per night?

There is no single price: the Armani Hotel sets its rate per night by date, season and room type. This site found no published fixed rate it could source, so it does not quote one. Check the hotel’s own site or a hotel booking site for your dates, and compare a few nights, since prices move with demand.
