Are Burj Khalifa tickets refundable?
Updated October 27, 2026
Quick answer
It depends where you buy. Arabian Adventures, which resells the official At the Top ticket, describes it as strictly non-refundable and non-amendable. All ten booking listings sold on this site let you cancel up to 24 hours before your slot for a full refund.
Burj Khalifa tickets are sold for a fixed date and entry time, so the cancellation rule matters more than at an attraction with open entry. The gap between sellers is large. A ticket bought on the official channel, as described by its reseller Arabian Adventures, cannot be refunded, changed or moved. The GetYourGuide listings we link to, from the Levels 124 & 125 ticket at $51 (AED 189, at 1 USD = 3.6725 AED) to the Lounge on level 152 at $209 (AED 769), all show the same rule: cancel up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund. Four of them also let you reserve now and pay later. Below is how each rule works and what to do if your plans change.
The official ticket rule
Burj Khalifa's own ticket site blocks automated reading, so we quote a seller of the official product instead. On its At the Top page, Arabian Adventures states that tickets are "strictly non-refundable, non-amendable, and changes not permitted". The same page says same-day tickets are limited and recommends booking ahead. In practice, this means a missed slot or a change of plan costs the full ticket price. If you buy on the official site, read the terms shown at checkout before you pay, because they are the ones that apply to your booking.
The partner free-cancellation window
Every one of the ten listings sold on this site shows "Cancel up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund" as read on 27 October 2026. The clock runs from the start of your time slot, so a 6:00 pm slot can be cancelled until 6:00 pm the day before. Four listings add reserve now and pay later, which means no payment at booking: SKY level 148, the Lounge, the night city tour and the private city tour. The other six take payment when you book. A 24-hour window covers most reasons to cancel, such as a delayed flight or a sick child, as long as you know in time.

- Reserve now, pay later — SKY 148, the Lounge, night tour, private tour
Rescheduling a slot
Entry is valid only for the booked time slot, as the standard listing says, and the Sky Views combo adds that you must use the Burj Khalifa part in the window you selected. If you need a different time on a partner ticket, the simple route is to cancel within the free window and book the new slot. Check availability first: sunset slots are the first to go, and the new slot may cost more if it falls in prime hours. On an official ticket, changes are not permitted, according to its reseller. Our guide to booking Burj Khalifa tickets walks through choosing a slot that you are unlikely to need to change.
Weather and closures
The decks are indoors with outdoor terraces, and we found no published rule for refunds when haze, dust or rain spoils the view. Reviewers mention haze over the city on some days, so a clear-sky refund should not be assumed. Closures do happen: Wikipedia records that the observation deck shut for about two months in February 2010 after an elevator stalled between floors. If the attraction cancels your slot, contact the seller you booked with. Booking with a 24-hour free-cancellation window also lets you check the forecast the day before and cancel if the outlook is poor. See opening hours for how slots run through the day.
Frequently asked questions
Can I get a refund on Burj Khalifa tickets?
On the ten listings sold here, yes, if you cancel at least 24 hours before your slot. Official tickets are described by their reseller Arabian Adventures as strictly non-refundable.
How do I cancel a Burj Khalifa ticket?
Cancel through the booking you made, in your account or confirmation email, at least 24 hours before the slot. A partner booking is refunded in full inside that window.
What happens if I miss my Burj Khalifa time slot?
The standard listing says the ticket is valid only for the booked time slot. Arrive early: the entrance is inside The Dubai Mall and recent reviewers found it hard to locate.
Can I change the date of my Burj Khalifa ticket?
On a partner ticket, cancel within the 24-hour window and rebook. On an official ticket, changes are not permitted, according to its reseller.
Do I have to pay when I book?
Only on six of the ten listings. SKY level 148, the Lounge, the night tour and the private tour offer reserve now, pay later.
