Restaurants with a Dubai Fountain View: Where to Book
Updated October 27, 2026
The restaurants with the best Dubai Fountain view sit on three sides of Burj Lake: the Dubai Mall waterfront, Souk Al Bahar across the footbridge, and the hotels on the lake edge (Palace Downtown, Address Downtown and the Armani Hotel inside Burj Khalifa). Evening shows run every 30 minutes from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm, so one dinner covers three or four shows. The catch is the table: a fountain view usually means an outdoor terrace seat, and several places do not take bookings for those. Below are nine places named by Emaar or Gulf News for their fountain view, what each serves and how to get the seat that matters.
-
1. Thiptara (Palace Downtown)
Palace Downtown, Burj Lake · 0.33 km
A Thai restaurant on the ground level of Palace Downtown, on the edge of Burj Lake. Emaar lists it for its front-row fountain view, and Gulf News says its terrace gives an unobstructed view of the show. The hotel's own page lists indoor tables, bar seats and an outdoor terrace, and a smart-casual dress code (no slippers or sleeveless tops). It is licensed, being in a hotel. Ask for a terrace table when you book: the indoor tables do not face the water in the same way.
Palace Downtown, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, Downtown Dubai
-
2. Ewaan (Palace Downtown)
Palace Downtown, Burj Lake · 0.43 km
The all-day restaurant at Palace Downtown, serving Middle Eastern and international dishes. The hotel lists it for the daily buffet breakfast (6:30 to 11:00 am), and Gulf News describes its alfresco terrace as overlooking the fountain and Burj Khalifa. A good pick if you want the lake view in daylight, or a calmer meal before an evening At the Top slot.
Palace Downtown, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, Downtown Dubai
-
3. Cetara (Address Downtown)
Address Downtown · 0.56 km
An Italian restaurant with coastal dishes at Address Downtown, which Gulf News calls a front-row seat to the fountain. The hotel says fountain views come from select rooms, terraces and restaurants, and that it has a direct connection into The Dubai Mall, so you can walk from dinner to the At the Top entrance without going outside.
Address Downtown, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, Downtown Dubai
-
4. Time Out Market Dubai (Souk Al Bahar)
Souk Al Bahar · 0.38 km
A food hall in Souk Al Bahar with many counters under one roof, which makes it the easiest choice for a group that cannot agree on a cuisine. Emaar lists its outdoor terrace for direct views of the shows. Gulf News warns that the small balcony is in high demand and suggests eating first, then walking out to the lakeside walkway in front of the restaurants for the show itself.
Souk Al Bahar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, Downtown Dubai
-
5. Abd El Wahab (Souk Al Bahar)
Souk Al Bahar · 0.37 km
Traditional Arabic food on level 3 of Souk Al Bahar. Gulf News lists it among the Souk Al Bahar venues with a fountain view and advises asking for an outdoor table, since the view is from the terrace. Souk Al Bahar venues are licensed, unlike the restaurants inside The Dubai Mall.
Souk Al Bahar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, Downtown Dubai
-
6. Karma Kafe (Souk Al Bahar)
Souk Al Bahar · 0.36 km
A pan-Asian restaurant and bar with an outdoor terrace a little further around the lake from the Souk Al Bahar footbridge. Gulf News suggests it more for a drink during the shows than for a full dinner. Because it sits at an angle to the fountain, you see the show and the tower together.
Souk Al Bahar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, Downtown Dubai
-
7. Mausam (The Dubai Mall)
The Dubai Mall · 0.48 km
An Indian restaurant inside The Dubai Mall that Emaar describes as casual fine dining with fountain and Burj Khalifa views. Like every restaurant inside the mall, it does not serve alcohol (Gulf News). It is the closest of the sit-down options to the At the Top entrance, which is also inside the mall.
The Dubai Mall, Financial Centre Road, Downtown Dubai
-
8. Armani/Lounge (Armani Hotel Dubai)
Inside Burj Khalifa · 0.06 km
The lounge in the middle of the Armani Hotel, inside Burj Khalifa. The hotel says it overlooks the Dubai Fountain and serves international dishes, coffee, tea and wine, with afternoon tea in the day and an aperitivo at sunset. The hotel's other restaurants also face the fountain and Burj Lake; see restaurants in Burj Khalifa for the full list.
Armani Hotel Dubai, Burj Khalifa, 1 Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, Downtown Dubai
-
9. The Burj Club (with a deck ticket)
Inside Burj Khalifa · 0 km
The only way on this list to pair dinner with the observation deck in one booking. The levels 124 & 125 ticket with a 3-course meal sends you to the Burj Club restaurant on the 3rd floor of Burj Khalifa, which the listing says overlooks the Dubai Fountain. Pick a deck slot between 6:30 and 9:00 pm for dinner (12:00 to 2:00 pm gives lunch). From $90 (AED 332, at 1 USD = 3.6725 AED), rated 4.2 on 9,577 reviews of this ticket on GetYourGuide.
Burj Khalifa, 3rd floor, 1 Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, Downtown Dubai
Dubai Mall, Souk Al Bahar or a hotel: which side of the lake
The three sides give you different shows. The Dubai Mall waterfront is closest to the At the Top entrance and to the main crowd. Restaurants inside the mall do not serve alcohol, and Gulf News notes that some lakeside places on the lower ground (it names Carluccio's, Karam Beirut and Wafi Gourmet) seat outdoor tables first come, first served. Souk Al Bahar, across the footbridge, faces the fountain with Burj Khalifa to one side. Its venues are licensed, and Gulf News calls its lakeside walkway less crowded than the mall side. The lake hotels (Palace Downtown, Address Downtown, the Armani Hotel) cost more but give you a terrace that is not shared with the walkway crowd. They are licensed and they take reservations.
- Closest to At the Top — The Dubai Mall (Mausam), the Burj Club, Armani/Lounge
- Licensed, with a terrace — Souk Al Bahar venues, Thiptara, Ewaan, Cetara
- Cheapest way to eat with a view — Time Out Market Dubai, then watch from the walkway
Booking a fountain-view table
Say "terrace" or "fountain view" when you book; an indoor table in the same restaurant can face a wall. Book the table for 15 minutes before a show, not on the hour, so you are seated and ordered when the water starts. In the cooler months the terraces fill first; in summer the evening low is still 26 to 30 °C (Open-Meteo 1991–2020 normals for June to September), so an indoor window table is the realistic choice. If a venue does not take terrace bookings, arrive before 6:00 pm for the first evening show.
Show times to plan dinner around
The booking listings for the deck tickets (read 27 October 2026) print the schedule as: afternoon shows at 1:00 and 1:30 pm every day except Friday, 1:30 and 2:00 pm on Friday, and evening shows every 30 minutes from 6:00 to 11:00 pm. Emaar's own schedule from October 2025 gives the Friday afternoon shows as 2:00 and 2:30 pm, so check on the day if you plan a Friday lunch around them. Shows can change in Ramadan, on event days and during official mourning: in September 2026 Emaar paused the fountain and then resumed it with an adjusted presentation. For the full timetable see Dubai Fountain show times.
- Saturday to Thursday — 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm, then every 30 minutes 6:00–11:00 pm
- Friday — 1:30 pm and 2:00 pm on the listing (Emaar, Oct 2025: 2:00 and 2:30 pm), then 6:00–11:00 pm
Closer than a table: the boardwalk and the lake ride
Two paid options put you on the water rather than beside it. The lake ride is a 30-minute trip by traditional abra; boats leave 15 minutes before each show and take up to 8 people, from $20 (AED 75), rated 4.5 on 21,215 reviews of this ride on GetYourGuide. The Dubai Fountain Boardwalk is a floating walkway that Gulf News places about 9 metres from the show; its booking listing shows AED 25 (about $7). Either one fits between dinner and a late deck slot.
